Album Notes

Cited by "The American Organist" magazine as possessing "virtuosic flair and fire," Scott Lamlein is an artist whose performances bring a unique emotional and spiritual inspiration to his listeners. Recently returned from a concert tour in Europe, where he performed for enthusiastic audiences in Germany and Switzerland, Scott Lamlein has been an active concert and recording artist for more than fifteen years. Scott is continually in demand as a church musician, and currently plays regularly at First Congregational Church, in Bristol, CT, and at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, in Hartford, CT.

As a recording artist, Scott released "The Organ at Worship" in 2006. He is also featured on the 2005 CD release, "Great Organs of Worcester." This CD, "In Quiet Joy: Music of Advent and Christmas," is Scott's first solo CD--recorded at the Congregational Church of Naugatuck (CT) in December, 1997, and released in 1998. This re-release marks the 10th anniversary of "In Quiet Joy."

Scott holds a degree in organ and liturgical music from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, and has been an active teacher of organ and church music for his entire career. In addition to his concerts, Scott also leads hymn festivals and workshops.
