Album Notes

Scott Markley was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He performed the Top 40 country and pop circuit in cities across the nation - starting in Houston and Dallas, and then moving on to Los Angeles, Denver and Nashville. Deciding in 2005 to put his own songs to the test, he decided to record them in Nashville.

"If you want to record country music, and you want to sound like today's country, you've got to go where the finest country musicians in the world are - and that's Nashville."

The result is Scott's first CD called "Bring Me Home." It's a compilation of songs ranging from straight-ahead two-step, to waltz tempos and western swing. There is even a melancholy song about an aging sailor called "The Good Days are Over."

Scott wrote and produced all the songs on this CD through his publishing and recording company, El Médano Music. He draws on influences from John Denver, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Elton John and Dan Fogelberg to top country artists such as Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, George Strait and Brooks and Dunn.

This CD has something for everyone, and Scott is currently working on a second project due out in 2009.

So, sit back, enjoy the music and let Scott know how it moves you. You can send him your thoughts at markleys47@hotmail.com. Call your local radio stations and request your favorite songs off of the Scott Markley CD "Bring Me Home."

Scott Markley has rolled some influences of the greats into a refreshingly original collection of new songs. “Bring Me Home” is even better than something for everybody. You’ll be listening to many of these songs over and over, and the words and music will keep coming back. An awesome debut and I’m waiting for more.

The songs contained on this CD are reminiscent of early John Michael Montgomery's "Life a Dance" Garth Brooks and Chris Ledeux. A real enjoyable listen from the first track to the last that gives the gift of pure country emotion to the listener.
