Scott Martin came from a musical family. He grew up listening proudly to his father Dave Martin play trumpet. His brother Stan Martin is an accomplished trumpet player, his other brother Andy Martin is a great trombone player.

Scott Martin has a new CD 'Cafe Cubano' available through this website featuring original compositions by Scott Martin and guitarist Rick White. Scott's friend/mentor Poncho Sanchez came in to play Congas, Bongos, Bells and Claves on the CD. Joey Deleon lends his fantastic Conga chops on 7 of the 9 tunes. Rene Camacho comes in to add his spicy groove on the Bass. Playing Timbales throughout the project is the youngest of the Ortiz Brothers, George Ortiz. The Martin Brother Horn Section comes in to play on 5 tunes and shows just how tight the brothers can play together. And to round it all off is the beautiful Guitar stylings of Rick White.

Tasty stuff!
author: Joe Ross
Some very caliente (hot) latin jazz and salsa music with a funky groove from L.A. Mostly all original material from the Cafe Cubano's personnel too. Scott and the seven other musicians are first-rate! Their music gets my mouth salivating for some "fried neckbones and home fries." Tasty stuff!

Excellent music! Makes you want to dance - which if you're in your car is dangerous! :) I would have liked a little less of the vocals but I'm not complaining.
