Album Notes

With "Friends Always Worry Me," Scott McBride has created THE album for the modern man on the go. Fuzzed-out rock, glitchy electronics, jangly pop and even some hip-hop brighten the corners of this wonderful album with turns you never see coming and enough hooks to catch a school of whale sharks.

In January 2007, I was in a rut. I hadn't finished any music in a while and was down about my inability to follow through. I decided to challenge myself and keep myself accountable, so I signed up to do FAWM and the RPM challenge. As I had hoped, it gave me the kick in the bottom that I sorely needed. I wrote and recorded this entire album in February 2007 and pushed my own limits at the same time, experimenting with different styles of making music and different genres. At the time I was going through some tremendously complex "personal" stuff and, as you may have guessed, most of it ended up on the record. What came out of all that is a record that I am immensely proud of. I hope that you'll take a minute to listen and maybe find something you can relate to.

When I heard this album for the first time, I was hooked. Scott McBride has created a song for all kinds of occasions. There are songs to and shake your booty to, drive at night to, make out to... This is a very cool album that I will be sharing with my friends.
