Hard rock guitar aficionados, old-school shred fanatics, and fans of raw, rapid-fire riffage - do you like your shred guitar with a healthy side of fat melodic hooks, all smothered in introspective finesse?
On CFW, there's all the crunching tube tone, wailing wahs, and frantic, fretnastic flailings the human ear can stand. If you dig a single SM57 off-axis to a 4x12 cab, with some inspired playing through 120 watts of burning tubes, then get ready to tantalize your lead-lick, lustful needs, as they delight over hard rock carnage and coalesce with fat melodic hooks, broad stroke sonic textures, and a sprinkle or two of experimental/jazz/fusion elements. All musicians can unite as these audio rantings are fully supported by plenty of bass-pounding foundation against exciting, palpitating percussion interplay.

“CUT.. is about emotional pain and how we choose to deal with that pain, I wanted to explore some of the key turning points in my life and make a record that captured those experiences, -and in this case, without words.” Sm.
A little bit about guitarist SCOTT MOTYKA:
"I’ve been at finding my voice and trying to get what’s inside, outside, using 6 strings pulled to tension for the better part of about 25+ years now. The guitar continues to inspire and amaze me every bit as the day I first heard her. I’m a bit of an eighties leftover, Olympiad-like in my earliest training and shred-a-licious in all my glory, with that, you'll find I'm always peaking into the rearview attempting to distance myself from those very same roots. Today, I'm most about conviction and trying to keep things real. I treasure organic tone, the kind that only burning tubes can provide. In my artistic pursuits, whether it be performing, recording, or teaching, I'm always searching for that next 'improvisational transcendence' - that moment when, during a solo, for just a short period of time, you elusively rise above the structure, beyond the notes, -and at once.. ...become the moment." Outstanding Metal/Punk instrumental music
author: Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Maximum instrumental Metal/Punk fury runs wild as extremely gifted guitarist, Scott Motyka, runs his fingers full throttle across the frets on his album, “Cut.. …From Within.” As you listen to the talents of Motyka you can feel the intensity and precise precision his fingers drive home on these artistic and interesting songs. You’ll be hooked from the first track, “Betrayer\'s Trust” as Motyka delivers razor sharp guitars burning with melodic hooks and riffs. The fire and passion rise off the strings on “The Romantical” as the guitar bellows with emotive obsession. A frenzied thunder of high velocity guitar riffs boils over on “Seniorita” as it hypnotically melds around the solid and tight drum beats. All fans of Metal/Punk music will thoroughly enjoy this thrashing mania of instrumental guitar on the outstanding CD “Cut.. …From Within.”

Highly Recommended!!
author: Dean Colli
From the blistering melodic guitar solos to the incredible drumming, I found the collection of tunes on this CD to be all that was claimed by the artist and more. I love the depth of this CD. It is definitely more than a one trick pony and like it more upon continual listenings. Whoever is a fan of melodic shred instrumental music will LOVE this cd. I ran it by a drummer friend of mine who has played on a few occasions with Yngwie's bass player. He was very impressed and he is a tough dude to impress! Enough said!!
