Album Notes

Pasadena is not the L.A. you expect. Just 15 minutes northeast of downtown Los Angeles, you ll see the Rose Bowl, legendary Greene & Greene architecture, world-class museums, and beautiful neighborhoods. It's also Hollywood's biggest back lot. You'll see over 50 movie and TV locations including American Pie II, Back to the Future, Beverly Hills Cop, Father of the Bride, Halloween, Jurassic Park II & III, Liar Liar, National Treasure, Old School, Alias, C.S.I., Fantasy Island, J.A.G. and many more.

In Pasadena you can have a great meal for two for what it costs to park in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, then you can walk just a couple of blocks to see paintings of Van Gough, Monet, Cezanne, and Picasso at the Norton Simon Museum. Missed by most L.A. visitors, we guide you to the spectacular Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens. Just 5-minutes from downtown Pasadena, it contains spectacular art, rare manuscripts including a Gutenberg Bible, and over 100 acres of breath-taking gardens used as movie locations for The Wedding Planner, Memoirs of a Geisha, The West Wing, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and more. Just 10 minutes east, we also guide you to the jungles of Jurassic Park and Fantasy Island at the Los Angeles County Arboretum which is right across the street from Santa Anita Racetrack.

GPS units might tell you where places are but not why they're significant or just plain cool. Scott is a "local" whose family has been here 100 years and he shares local favorites, history, trivia, hidden treasures, and what international visitors told us they enjoyed most. He drives in real-time, guiding you street-by-street in small geographic areas which keeps you from driving all over the map wasting time and gas.
There's so much, so close, and so easy to see.
Do you really want to miss it?
