Scott Tarulli has been a session guitarist around Boston for 8 years. Tarulli spent time on the road, in the studio and in clubs with various funk bands, blues groups, singer songwriters, and jazz acts.
Tarulli continues to perform around Boston as a sideman and with his own group. He is also a faculty member at Berklee College of Music, where he teaches private lessons, Styles labs and ensembles.
Tarulli is focused on songwritng on this new CD. The songs are not mere vehicles to show off chops. The music will appeal to both musicians AND non-musicians.
Here is what some have said of Tarulli's playing.
"Scott's Rockin' and Ballad approaches suck you in rather than stun you. Themes, textures, mood and melody all get equal billing, making his a musical, not just a guitar statement."
- John Stix Editor for Guitar For the Practicing Musician
"Guitarist Scott Tarulli (and band) exhibit their considerable chops and versatility for musical interpretation on this cool sounding disc."
- Metronome Magazine

Wow! what a great cd this is , those into jazz/rock instrumetal music will love this , not only is the playing great , but the songwriting is really well put together......which not a lot of players have , there's some super sweet relaxing songs such as boston nights & your past , but you also get to hear some serious playing on slinkle II & strength to see it through.
Those into the early works of pat metheny & artists like mike stern & eric johnson get this now !! Scott is a player that will soon be one of the big names out there...........all in all , the production , band ,songs , it's all here.......Nice job!!! now i want a second cd of more!!

Transitions is AWESOME!
author: Anne Meier
Transitions will transform even the skeptical into jazz/fusion/funk lovers. The songs range from slow and smooth (Your Past) to funky and rockin (Strength to See it Through) with everything in between. I was impressed with the diversity of the songs as well as the quality of writing and performance.
