CRAZY SOUTHERN ROOTS-ROCKER GOES CARIBBEAN.
SCOTT TURCHIN: SCOTTY'S REGGAE RUNNINGS

The crazy, genre-spanning artist, who has also won awards for Alt-Country and Alt-Rock, sees his connection to Rasta as a "heart thing", a connection to the Guiding Spirits of Reggae. "'They just came to me one year, taught me about the reggae massive and history, and started me writing "Jennifer Come Run'", marvels Scott, who turned from mostly Southern-based roots music to Roots Reggae and all its variations. With five albums now on iTunes/worldwide, Scott is proud to release some tracks which didn't fit in his earlier works, especially "HANDS FLAPPING LIKE WINGS - Live", a raw, rhythmic prayer to Jah to be released from earthly burdens and fly high in the sky, if only for one glorious moment. Although this track is a stripped-down live take featuring the vocals, this new album actually covers a wide range of reggae ground, including horns, keys and drums, and shows a voice both wise and versatile.

Our boy SCOTT TURCHIN was listening to all his live and alternate takes the other day and realized, OMG, I've got 3 new albums here! And so he took the best of the lot and proceeded to organize these unique tracks into downloadable form by genre, thus producing SCOTTY'S REGGAE RUNNINGS (this album), DUSTY ROSE COUNTRY-AMERICANA, and SCOTTY'S MOODY ALT-ROCK.
