"It brims over with a funky, breezy, soulful charisma, and finds Scotty very impressively handling most of the instruments (and songwriting) himself. Most strikingly, though, it's the voice! Names like Sam Cooke, Ron Sexsmith, Stevie Wonder, Junior Parker, or even Feist may come to mind occasionally, but Scotty remains effortlessly original throughout!"
Grant Stoval (CKUA)
"we're like a chemical fire
its kinda hard to put it out
but you've got sand in both
of your hands whatcha want with me"
from the song 'Watcha Want'
Playing drums and singing for dirty blues group "The Perpetrators", has awarded Scotty with a Juno nomination, two maple blues awards, and a Maple Blues Award. He has opened for such notables as Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, North Mississippi Allstars; and has shared the stage with greats like Hubert Sumlin, Jody Williams, Big Dave Mclean, Downchild Blues Band, Sue Foley, and a slew of the UK's best soul musicians.
"Abundant highlights fill this recording like a Christmas stocking. Its title track flashes with bluesy, neo-soul brilliance augmented by soaring guitar licks and the kind of falsetto harmonies that would make D'Angelo proud."
Frank Litorco (FFWD magazine)
