ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Scotty Moore was Elvis's first guitar player for 14 years.
He knows what good music sounds like, so when he got these
great musicians together to do a classic blues album, he
knew he had something good. Scotty played on "Reconsider
Baby", then recorded and mixed the rest. That song did so
well that the group decided to do a whole album of the same
stuff. He has Billy Swan of "I Can Help" fame on the vocals, Boots Randolph on Boots' last project (he was Mr.
Sax for many years), Bob Moore with 17,000 sessions under
his ample belt in the last 40 years on bass, Bucky Barrett
of Roy Orbison's band for 8 years on guitar, Buddy Spicher-
the finest Nashville fiddle player-on fiddle, Fred Satterfield-with the Oak Ridge Boys for many years-on drums, Steve Shepherd-Scotty's friend and keyboard player
on Scotty's sessions with Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, and
many others on keys. The entire group recorded this project live in Scotty's studio. And a good time was had
by all!

The Mighty Handful
With talent such as Billy Swan, the late Boots Randolph, Bob Moore, Buddy Beckett and Scotty Moore producing you know it is going to be a great CD and IT IS! If you like classic blues by guys that know the blues, get this CD.

Robert Carey

The Mighty Handful
This one is fantastic...Nashville craftsmen at the top of their game, coached by the legendary Scotty Moore. Including legends in their own stead like Boots Randolph, Buddy Spicher, Bob Moore and Billy Swan. I can't wait until Volume 2 is released! The blues ain't nothin' but a good man feelin' bad...

Chris Ziemba

The Mighty Handful
It was just fantastic...... Better than I could even imagine.

Scotty Moore presents The Mighty Handful
There was a time when great music meant a bunch of people who knew what they were doing just getting together and doing their stuff. Thank God there's still at least one place on Earth where that's true. Pure joy.
