Album Notes

Although Scythian (pronounced "sith-ee-yin") now exists as a young Celtic band of four "twenty-somethings" men based out of the D.C./Metro area, it did not originate that way. Existing as four siblings and a childhood friend, Scythian began playing on the streets of Alexandria, VA for gas money. Interacting with the crowd fueled their passion for music and led them to create this CD.

Dance at the Crossroads features:

Fiddles
Rhythm Guitar
Flute,
Spoons, and
Drums/Bodhran

The members of Scythian were brought up as classical musicians, performing in such venues as the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, and Heinz Hall. Bringing this experience to the stage, Scythian's first year has demonstrated their draw with a regular and substantial following in the D.C. and Philly areas.
