"The music came from deep within and poured out with more emotion than the casual listener would realize. I felt melted into each song and couldn't remember when it started and didn't know when it would end." Mary Pike, San Diego Music Matters

Album Notes

Do you ever feel that everyone around you including the media is telling you how to live your life? From what clothes to wear, where to eat, what stores to shop at and where to live? It all focuses on one thing, you have to be like everyone else. After all, if you’re not like everyone else, you won’t fit in and you won’t be happy.

In Swandive’s new CD entitled, Something To Melt The Silence, the group reminds us of one of the greatest lessons in life, be yourself. As you know, life is full of ups and downs but it is what you make out of it and how you live it that is up to you. This is the message in the featured song, And You Are. There is always hope in life and it can be your vision of happiness, unless you want to believe that others know what is best for you.

From our years in school, to where we work, to what the media tells us is right for us, to the stress of trying to be like others, we have all felt the pressure of being forced to fit in. However not being who we really are can have tragic results as talked about in Return To Grace.
It’s a struggle to be ourselves. We have all seen the signs of those struggling with trying to be someone they are not. In the song, You'll Never Know, the picture is painted of how we have to break the trend and encourage others to do the same. Fight to be unique by living life without the constraints set upon us by others and inspire those around
us to 'live' and find out for themselves.

Swandive’s philosophy is straightforward and direct. New ideas come from different ways of thinking. But in order for that to happen we don’t need you to fit in, we need you to be your true self.
