Album Notes

Despite being located primarily in Northern California, Seanan manages to be seen all over North America, thus proving that she really has no concept of what it means to stay home. She got into filk music in her teens, and just never bothered to get out of it, although she continued cheerfully expanding her interests through the years, doing such silly things as 'selling several novels' and 'starting a comic strip.' It is widely believed that she doesn't actually sleep, or that she is, in fact, an immigrant from a small planet near Betelgeuse.

As a singer and songwriter, Seanan takes inspiration in essentially everything she can find, from horror movies and comic books to folklore and that weird plant that's doing its damnedest to pull down the wall in her back garden. In 2005, she was asked to be the Toastmistress at the Ohio Valley Filk Festival, and put on a concert that knocked everybody's socks off. So far off, in fact, that she decided to release the concert as a live recording. It came out in 2006, and you can order it here. Convenient, isn't it?

In her spare time, Seanan works as a call center supervisor, writes buckets of poetry, and drives her agent batty by providing a constant stream of new novels to deal with. Again, she doesn't sleep. She is, however, planning to eventually conquer the planet. Because it would be fun.
