My third cd but 1 st "solo" cd- the first two under the project name Jack Tripper The songs veer around the pop landscape from chamber pop to hard rock - to ambient soundscapes. The cd was written/sang/guitars/produced/edited/some engineering also the last song was mixed by Sean Ashby. The songs feature tastful pop rock guitar tones and great songs and spare "real" production. These are real performances and are not overly doctored. Brass And Gold was mixed by Warne Livesy - warne produced mixed seminal bands like Midnight Oil / Talk Talk / The Happy Mondays / The The /newer acts like Matt Good Band /Jets Overhead / Currently working on a solo cd from Chris Walla. The CD also features the talents of the Amazing Ray Garraway (drummer with K-OS) and bassist Sean Drabbit who has played with the likes of Winton and Branford Marsalis. The CD also features a real string section arranged by Kevin Fox -Sean Ashby has lent his talents as a musician to many successful musical artists / Sean Ashby Has played with a diverse range of pop artists Sarah McLachlan 3 cd's and 3 dvd's selling around ten million copies in the U.S. alone Sean Ashby has been with Sarah for ten years . Including a version of Blackbird by the Beatles.
