One of the hardest working young poets I know is Sean Hill. I first met him seven years ago at a poetry event at Cal State Northridge. As long as I've known him, he's been doing poetry for Skid Row Youth Programs, as well as several literacy programs, literary festivals and theater showcases. Hill recently hosted the Success is Our Future Scholarship ceremony, and worked the past two years as part of the After School Adventure Enrichment Camp (ARC) at Oscar De La Hoya Animo, teaching Poetry and Theater. He also co-hosts with Roger Chagnon, Jason Brain, and Dutch Stowe a blogtalk radio show called, "The Soapbox Super Show". They play music, comedy, and poetry from their recordings of the Thursday night open mic, Soapbox Sessions in Encino. Jason Brain is the host and creator of both Soapbox productions and a close comrade of Hill. Hill, who just released his first spoken word album, says, "I share ideas that involve inner reflection, outer connection, and a gradual delicate diving into the notion that realistic inner and outer world peace exists...sometimes just by allowing yourself to truly believe it."

A FEW DIRECT WORDS FROM THE WRITER/DELIVERERERER
"The next album I'll work on will be more music oriented and have great collaborations. But this one...this one had to be words. Ideas. Stories. No chorus or beats to enthrall or entice or distract or add-on or take away. I wanted to have an honest, one-on-one conversation in the idea realm...sure I'm talking a whole lot on the tracks...but you, whether you call yourself an audience or a person...you simply have the optional fun task of listening in a two way conversation. Using the effortless beauty that is also known as "Your Imagination" to bring life to what you hear. Through your feedback, questions, purchases, constructive or hilariously silly responses, "likes" or "shares," e-mail list sign-ups, pictures of us together with my afro in your face at great events, big ol hugs and inspiring smiles...I am determined to listen back to you as best I can with unconditional love.
This is as fair, honest, and sincere as dialogue gets. And I want you to judge the album. But not in the connotation or usual idea of judgement we're used to. I would want you to judge it postively, accurately, honestly, wholeheartedly, and with as much perspective and patience you can muster up. It's only fair I think...since those are all the things I used to work on it with great friends, construct it with a great company, and deliver it with every ounce of integrity passion I have.
I aimed at having immense fun doing what I love, create meaningful dialogues through storytelling (even if that dialogue is with yourself and the illusion that may be within you that you're not as wonderful as you are,) and lastly...to live my life fully off of artistic, honest, expression done with quality and the gentle pushing of our society as a whole forward in the best way possible...or whatever that means.
I don't have all the answers.
I'm not a guy trying to.
All I'm saying is that I do know of some fun & wonderful...possibilities."

LAST WORDS BEFORE YOUR EYES START BURNING (Please blink by now if you haven't already...=)
Basically...you aren't just supporting an "artist" and his living when you purchase this album.
You're supporting every person that has a story to tell but can't or doesn't know how to say it.
You're believing in the idea that a great world can be lived in where sincere compassionate listening and crazy outsane fun can exist.
You're acknowledging that there is a possibility that anything is not only possible...but realistically and positively attainable.
You're funding future tours which will include poetry workshops, high-school to college performances, talk backs,
more birthday and wedding shows of some of the most poetically beautiful personalized poetry, free giveaways, free fulfilling fun,
massive hugs, wide inescapable smiles, global growth as an artistic community and an educated audience of excited listeners.
Lastly...you're supporting yourself...take that...think about it...yeah.
