Eddie Seawood Jr. is another from a long line of musicians and vocalists to come from Mississippi. An award winning vocalist and songwritter, his career started after winning amateur night at a local club in Jackson, MS. At that moment Eddie Seawood became a household name in the area. By 1991 Seawood, as he is known by his friends, was named "Background Vocalist of the Year" by the Jackson Music Award Association. He subsequently won "Best New Artist of the Year", and gained national recognition during Jackson State University's Homecoming celebration that was aired on BET.
Seawood continued to build steam in the area. This growth has led him to the release of his debut CD "I Sing". This CD will make listeners stand up and take notice. Heard by millions on the Tom Joyner Morning show, Seawood's single "Don't Hate The Playa" was hand picked by comedian/personality J. Anthony Brown as his theme song. "I Sing" is a testimonial to the guys and a love letter to the ladies.
Seawood has a favorite saying, "Success happens when opportunity and preparation meet." Seawood is prepared and his opportunity is now. Listen up for this future Grammy Award winning vocalist-Eddie Seawood Jr.- Enjoy.
