Album Notes

Sebastian Whittaker is a Houston based drummer/producer who has been a mainstay on the Texas jazz scene for over 20 years. He began performing in his hometown and recorded 4 CDs as a leader with Justice Records. Since the early 90s, Bas has been featured on countless recording with artists such as Shelley Carrol, James Lakey, Barrie Lee Hall, Jr., Lynn Seaton, Curtis Lundy and others. Whittaker is truly a near legend in his native Texas.

Sebastian Whittaker is not only a great drummer in the Art Blakey tradition, but he has taught and/or inspired the great "Houston" drummers for years; including Chris Dave, Mark Simmons, Eric Harland, Kendrick Scott, just to name a few.  Here he is live!  Get it!
