Album Notes

From South East Kansas, a land rich in fertile farmland, country music, and a down home people steeped in history and tradition, comes an original and classic rock band with a diverse cultural influence that has inspired a unique blending of the modern rock sound, a pinch of classic rock, and blended with a southern rock flare. It is for the love of music that five musicians from different regions of the country and musical backgrounds come together to form the Second Chance Band.

The band was formed in August of 2001 by Charlie Vargo, James Smith, and Steve Wilson as a part time musical hobby. Sometime there after, they adopted the band name and logo. The three of them knew they had to do something with this chance they had been given to do something special.

Kyle Sigel joined the band as lead vocals in September 2002, giving up his place as drummer in another local band. This allowed Charlie's zany antics and Kyle's flamboyant personality to interact and spice up the show. The band gained the attention of several booking agents that put the Second Chance Band on the road playing clubs all over Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. They have also played for several types of organizations, such as, A.B.A.T.E. of Kansas and Advocates for the Arts to name a couple.

Richy Kerns joined the band in June of 2004, after a very successful career of music with some of the best local musicians. This blessed union of talent will surely produce some of the most explosive rock and roll in the South Eastern corner of Kansas history!

Craig Mussulman came to Second Chance as a Subsitute drummer in 2005 and ended up staying. His jazz and rock techniques has boosted the bands performance into Higher energy level.

The Second Chance Band takes pride in their list of accomplishments, up to and including their 9 song debut C.D. "Pure Chance" in which they wrote, recorded, and released themselves in the summer of 2004. Second Chance is now working on thier Second Cd to come out the summer of 2006!
