Album Notes

The Secondhands fuse Jamaican ska and reggae rhythms with pop, rocksteady, and smooth jazz overtones, to create their compelling sound that has amazed crowds throughout the country.

Having attracting premier instrumentalists from America's heartland in the late 1990's, The Secondhands have performed live with many highly-acclaimed ska and reggae acts including The Slackers, The Stubborn All-Stars, Burning Spear, and The Toasters.

With an impressive, full-length debut release, The Secondhands have established themselves as part of the nation's ska and reggae elite.

This is an astonishingly good record. Every song sounds like a timeless classic, transcending categorization. I'll never tire of this CD. It's playful, emotional, virtuosic, and all together magical. These guys are unbelievably great!
