in 1998 or so, the secret process began with a tascam 4-track, a gateway desktop with 8 bit drum samples, and assorted friends and musical instruments. each track was manually mixed down and recorded into the two-track digital recording utility that comes free with windows 95. from there, the unmastered stereo files were sent via ftp to a friend on the east coast who "owned a cd burner" (since this was over a dialup modem, each song had to be transferred overnight!)
thus was born the first full length album by the secret process. unfortunately, it was so incredibly underground that only about 4 or 5 copies were ever produced.
things are different now! the secret process has access to better instruments, better software, and has a steady day job. thus the secret process brings to you a second, altogether more official-looking album, telecommute.
the secret process does not promote (much) or perform! the secret process is so friggin' secret it's a miracle you even know about it. it's not like that to be cool, it's not like that to be sad. it's just how everything is at the end of day. it's my gift to you, if you want it.
