Album Notes

Seeds....is the name of a new jazz quartet featuring Chuck Marohnic, piano, Fred Forney, trumpet and flugelhorn, Dwight Kilian, bass and Dom Moio, drums.

The inspiration for the name Seeds.... comes from a wish that through this music the listener will become sensitized to the world in which we live. It is a call to honor God's creation, the Earth. All the compositions are original from the group and reflect the theme. This new music breathes with organically developmental improvisation on beautiful and interesting compositions with a sense of introspection, reflection and adventure.

Who are we?

This is a very well written, performed and recorded cd. The music is consistently excellent from track to track and with enough variation to keep it continually interesting. The interplay between musicians is flawless: a fine example of masters at their best. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful sound put together by four Arizona musicians, Chuck Marohnic piano, Fred Forney trumpet, Dwight Kilian bass, and Dom Moio drums. Not a groove CD, this is a subtle and enchanting blend of lyrical originals with imaginative improvisation that draws you into the music. Each tune has a composed basic form with a delicate balance of group improvisation to fill out and develop the sound of each piece. The uncommon touch of these masterful players will draw you into the spirit of this music and once you begin you'll find the time to be still and listen to this unique project.
