"Annapolis based singer/songwriter Doug Segree does it again - Great songs with infectious hooks, passionate vocals and acoustic guitars make this recording stand out. The appropriately titled "Come Again" marks Doug Segree's return to the summer music scene in the Washington, Baltimore, Annapolis area that he helped invent."
(Chesapeake Music Guide, June 2004)
"Sick, sick, sick. This music is totally infectious immediately upon the first listen. Be forewarned that after playing this CD you will not be able to get the songs out of your head."
(CDs4Business. July 2004)
Intentionally recorded with no electric guitars, Segree has effectively returned to his acoustic roots that those familiar with his live performances have come to love. If you enjoy music from such artist like Edwin McCain, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz and Dave Matthews, you'll love this CD.
There is no question of Doug Segree's genuine enthusiasm and love for the music he makes. A singer/songwriter out of Annapolis, MD, he speaks with his audience through acoustic guitars and spirited vocals. People are drawn to the melodic nature of the music - strong hooks sung with conviction and performed with true passion.
Doug Segree has been playing in clubs from New York down to Florida for the past decade. He began his colorful music career while receiving his MBA at the University of Florida in 1994. He became a regular performer in the local college bars in Gainesville, FL and it was here where he began fulfilling his passion and love for writing and performing his own music. He has successfully recorded and released three CD's over the past six years with his latest, "Come Again", released June 15, 2004.
Whether performing solo or with his band, Doug Segree has been a mainstay in the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, DC, VA, DE). You may have seen him playing the fifth quarter celebration at FedEx Field for every home Washington Redskin football game or courtside for the Washington Wizards basketball games at the MCI Center. He has performed and sold out the nationally acclaimed Ramshead Onstage in Annapolis, and has played in other national clubs like the Recher Theater in Baltimore. He has also been a part of the "Dewey Tradition" for the last six summers, playing every Sunday at the world famous Starboard (ranked in the worlds top 45 best bars) in Dewey Beach, DE.
Doug Segree has the opportunity to share the stage with bands like Matchbox 20, Sister Hazel, Less Than Jake, Dave Mason (Traffic), Pat McGee Band, Derek Trucks and Dave Edmonds.
