Album Notes

"There's Something" was recorded in three live sessions during the long winter of 2003. Aaron has been writing songs since around 1993. Track number 8, I Got the Blues, was written that year. The songs on this collection represent all ten years of Aaron's writing. Since the year 1999, Aaron has become very busy playing gigs all over New England. Over 500 shows played since '99 has honed his live performance skills, which is Aaron's trademark. Aaron has a great stage presence when he performs. So, when he finally decided to take the plunge into the studio his desire was to capture his live performance without overdubs and studio wizardry. Ranger Dan, track 2, was written about a camping trip he took to the Boston Harbor Islands. Aaron says, "I remember taking the commuter train to Boston, and then having to switch to the subway at North Station and then switching subways until I reached Aquarium Station where the Ferry was parked. Of course, all of this was achieved with a giant backpack rig, two gallons of water, a tent, and, yes, it happened to be rush hour. It was crazy, but the destination was worth it."

Listening to the track samples should give the listener a good idea of Aaron Seibert's talent and range. Well... here he is, Aaron Seibert, and I know that most listeners will find this destination well worth it, making them believe that there is something here.

This is the freshest, best, most orginal CD I have heard in a long time. Great for all ages, (my 6yr old LOVES IT). I hope that everyone will be able to feel and hear the passion that Aaron gives of himself in his music. Keep up the great work Aaron, it may have been long in coming, but it is well worth the wait. THANK YOU for some great music that my family can enjoy together!!

Hard to believe it's his first CD. Aaron is a natural. He sings from the heart and sounds like he's definitely been listening for years. With his snappy electric rhythm, it's hard to not tap something, anything, while you're listening. And the songs are not the boring singer-songwriter blando stuff we're all so tired of. They're smart and lively and soulful. A bargain. You'll be playing this one over and over.
