Recorded live in July 2008 and January 2009, "In the Sun" marks the third collaboration of performing and songwriting team, vocalist Nita Sell and pianist, Astrid Cowan. Blending Jazz and Latin influences, "In the Sun" features 11 of their original songs along with a couple of jazz gems.
