Four years ago three boys started a journey, never believing they would end up a half a world away, in the same location. All are natives of Michigan, but did their maturing in the backwoods of Tennessee.
Arriving in Nashville, in 1999, they ran into a new hit factory, Nastyville Records, which gave them a chance. With determination, drive and their eyes on their dreams, good music was the result. Their first project, DPC Click, achieve minor success, giving the trio more determination for a more groundbreaking entry into the world of rap music. Dropping one member, and picking up another, quickly transformed them from night into day.
Now enters $ÉLMÉTÉ$ (Cell-met-tess), with members Shaloc$ (Derry Hicks), Hussolino (Andre Peete) and Blu Black (Dominick Taylor) professing there is One Way or none. The boys are stepping into the game with a mean swing, letting you know how they do it in the backwoods of Tennessee. With "Peezy" lacing tracks $ÉLMÉTÉ$ shows they are no ABC artists.
The trio's background in music is extensive and shares many of the same musical interests, EMINEM, Jay-Z, DMX, Biggie. Jada Kiss, Jagged Edge, Marvin Gaye and Teddy Pendergrass, just to name a few.
With a variety of music, $ÉLMÉTÉ$ diverse and versatile approach shall make them a group to watch and listen to in the future!
