Album Notes

Sense Boardwear is a San Diego Based clothing line, marketing to the surf/skate/snow crowd and works a lot with bands, sponsoring shows and events dealing with local and underground music.

This CD is a follow up to the first compilation CD that can be found on this site entitled "shit for your shit". This new Sense Boardwear Compilation CD, entitled "High Rise" features 21 tracks, by 13 different bands. This CD is a mix of Hip Hop/Punk Rock & Reggae. Its got the Sublime type Reggae, with a Beastie Boys style of hip hop with a little more dancehall involved and a good pure style of Punk Rock with an Influence of Bad Religion and NOFX.

Bands featured on this CD are:
Chapter 11, Bargain Music, The Bredrin Daddys, Dirty Heads, Flipn Whiteys, HB Surround Sound, High Tide, Unsound, Mystic Roots Band, Blinded, bFoundation, Part One Tribe, Local Culture with Guest Appearances by Members of LONG BEACH DUB ALL STARS/DUBCAT

And in retort to the fellow with the comment regarding Band Info. all the info for ALL the bands is in the CD Jewel case. Not only is there a website for ALL the bands, but there are emails, phone #'s and contact information. We promote the bands plenty, pick up the CD and support. We'll pump out more of these compilation CDs and expose alot of this great talent that the corporate ind. is ignoring. Thanks.

Best Compilation CD I Own
author: Mike from KY
This is definitely the best Compilation CD available anywhere. I am shocked that this hasn't hit the mainstream markets. The bands on this CD make this one of the top CD's ever. I own over 1000 CD's and this is one of best in my collection. Excellent sampling of the California Coasts Beach Music scene. If you buy any CD this year get this one. This CD is perfect. 5 STARS+

great cd - where's the links?
author: wrybread
Love the songs you have on the sampler. My one complaint is why no links to the individual artists? I'm guessing they have websites somewhere? But for example High Tide, I can't find them because a zillion things come up for it on Google. I can't even find Chapter 11, I'd love to hear more of that as well. CD samplers are great, and this one is fantastic, but don't you think you should promote the bands on it a little bit?
