Sentence's style can only be described as creative innovation wrapped in the time-honored traditions of real hip hop. Not attempting to conform to any of the conventions of what is popular and not relying on any formula that has proven successful for other artists, he brings lyrics laced with real-life situations embeded in poetic arrticulation. The beats on Bomb Shelter Poetry are unconventional, untraditional, and hard-hitting. The album itself is a tribute to what hip hop has created in the past and an insight into the directions it can go in the future. Sentence is a permanent figure in the Denver hip hop scene and has produced for Slug and Sage Francis on Sage's Sick of Waiting Tables LP. His crew, Makeshift Gods, has also recorded with Sleep from Oldominion. They can be caught performing in Colorado and all over the United States.
If you like this CD, you should check out his brand new album - THERE AND BACK. It's not as dark as this one. It has more fluid, melodic beats and the vocals are a little more on the rhythmic, boom bap tip.

Really good lyricism and tight beats.
author: DJ MonkeyBars
This CD is really impressive, especially considering it's coming out of Denver. The beats are hard and the samples are combined well to create an overall flow and mood. I would suggest this album to anyone who really digs paying attention to what the emcee is saying or anyone interested in pretty raw hip hop beats.

Powerful and intelligent lyrics along with bump’n beats. Love the style of rap!
author: Eddy (Fuzzy)
I loved the beats on this . Great lyrics. Along with the beats comes a fast paced rapper. Really gets my mind to move along with my body. Not much more to say other than an all around great hip hop album.
