Album Notes

This collection of original songs evolved from a tracking session for a Belmont University student in Nashville. Belmont University maintains the historic RCA Studio B as part of a collaborative agreement with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The idea is to give students a chance to work with vintage gear and get a taste of how it was done in the “old days”. Well, add a vintage band to that mix and you get the real deal. Serapis Studio B.

Serapis is a veteran band out of St. Louis whose style has been the Americana genre longer than the term “Americana” has been around. Studio B has a “bit of an ‘Island’ flavor” according to one reviewer, but what does he know. Decide for yourself.

These are impressive songs written for today. Rock/Blues/Country with a bit of jam band and jazz mixed in. Just like the rivers, Studio B is a convergence of styles from the Gateway City.
