Impressive debut;maybe a little too all over the place;but very good!
author: Carl Balzamo
Serina Jung is a very interesting songwriter and this album will please people who are not tied down to their love of just one type of music;I hear a lot of early Melissa Etheridge in here, but a lot of other interesting things also.I could use less violin and more guitar work though. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable record!I can hardly wait for the second one and here's hoping it's a little more focused!

Insightful poetry elevated by great songwriting
author: David Reichenbacher
Serina Jung takes us on her musical journey with the full range of human emotions. Her songs range from a Sheryl Crowe rock attitude in Wait for Me, yet caresses us with a hymnlike quality in The Children Sang and in He Is There. Other songs are spiced with jazzy and bluesy overtones, like Strong and Beautiful and Jumping In Heart First, as well as What Have You Got To Sell. The cd ends with the pure poetry of Moonlight Casts A Shadow. Serina is refreshingly never a slave to rhyme...her writing is straight from the heart.

Serina's songs really hit to the heart of matters. She has an intense and emotional voice that exudes strength and devotion. Wait for Me and A Kiss and An Apology are 2 songs that bring tears to my eyes every time I hear them. I look forward to her next album: new directions and Serina's enthusiasm for her art.
