Growing up in the Chicago, Cheryl loved old movies. She would spend hours and hours watching them on her little black and white TV in her bedroom. Her love of Classic Hollywood inspired her debut recording, "Dames". "Dames" is a salute to the sexy, sassy dames in the films such as Rita Hayworth, Carmen Miranda and Gwen Verdon. Packed with hot players and tight arrangements, "Dames" lets Cheryl strut her vocal stuff over a colorful variety of styles. Tunes include the bass trombone stomp of “Shaking the Blues Away”, the breezy bongo swing of “The Good Life” and her very own interpretation of “Lady Is a Tramp”.
