Album Notes
The music on this album incorperates a jazzy fusion type style which incorperates funk,Jazz,Latin and reggae chops all interpreted with the use of multi layering of keyboards accompanied with some solid Bass playing very upbeat.

Marcus Davis/Serious Nubian is a Bass Player/Keyboardist/Composer/Producer who also performs as a One Man Band Instrumentalist going by the name Serious Nubian .Originally from London in the uk Marcus migrated to Canada in the mid nineteen eighties .Settling in Toronto Marcus attended the Trebas Institute of Recording Arts studying production and engineering. Played in a variety of bands also, ranging from a Jimi Hendrix tribute band call Roots Reality to a ten piece reggae band called Wailin Souljahs .
Also had a recording studio called Message Music Productions mainly for producing local artists as well as cut a few radio jingles. Decided to relocate to the United States in the late nineteen nineties being based in Atlanta ,Georgia .Gigging as a freelance bass player Marcus played in a jazz trio which consisted of Bass Guitar,Lead Guitar , and a Percussionist,performing in the vegetarian resturant section of a shop called The Bazzar in an area known as Little Five Points,playing a totally improvised set for tips ,Also played in an RnB band called Manifest Destiny who played mainly covers by bands like Kool and the Gang, Cameo, Maze, The Commodores,etc ,mostly played in the south on the chitlin circuit .After both bands disbanded Marcus went to the uk and decided to perform as a One Man Band Instrumentalist on the advice of a friend and go by the name Serious Nubian. CD is awesome
I really love the cd great sound cool funky vibes ,the musicianship is awesome ,sense some herbie hancock influence there.

Sounds nice but need to improve on the mixing bit. Well done for professional outcome of the CD.


a nice vibe
Only managed to have a quick listen to a couple of songs and enjoyed very much, very funky and jazzy. definately a great one to listen to while relaxing at home .
