Serundal’s fans can be sure of one thing only when they wait for the next album to be released. That it will not be anything like any one that has gone before. This is because Serundal believes that the world of music is infinite and that it is essential that they work very hard in their quest to try and make sure that every album is a new and exciting experience for the listener. It is of course true that Serundal has a unique musical signature that everyone can recognise but the combination of styles, contemporary and traditional and sounds, Celtic ethnic and modern are always reborn into a completely new package. In ‘Waiting Rooms’ both the music and themes are a contrast of dark and light incorporating harpsichord, harp and other strings. The music moves easily through the centuries because of the common factor that binds them all- human emotion and imagination transported in some way through the moving vocals that leave echoes in the listener’s mind long after the song has finished. This album is about time and its relationship with love, sorrow and our never-ending search for the ultimate truth.

Lady of the Isles
I will begin by saying up front and out loud - this is one of the most beautiful songs and melodies that one could possibly find to end the day with, which is what I am doing here in the midnight hour gathering rosebuds of music for one or two or more of my stations here at IAC. Thank you Serundal for pointing me in the direction of your Artists Page where I found your beautiful crusading lover's ballad ... lilting, cantillating and monastic-like vocals calling back and forth gives this a mediaeval and romantic feeling that whisks one away on a magical, mystical journey, back to a place in legendary times where a grieving damsel awaits the return of her lover from a distant campaign. A celtic gem ... poignant songwriting, arrangement and production ... welcome to Legendary Music. added to station 10/19/2008 5:30:26 AM

"Lady of the Isles" by Serundal
There is something captivating in the sounds of Serundal. With the collaboration of this husband and wife team, the music of Serundal is an eclectic blend of progressive folk with Celtic and ethnic influences.
This singer/songwriting combination produces a haunting sound that carries the listener back to the days of old. Their latest album, "Waiting Rooms" was released last month. This CD will take you on a journey through time, through Medieval England and King Arthur's Court. It is music for listeners with souls that love to dream.
