Seth Glier, a singer-songwriter/pianist, is an engaging, innovating, and powerful performer. Seth's blend of smooth contemporary blues, and intelligent pop/rock music delivers a feeling inside your stomach. Writers like Jane Flecher have written comparisons such as, "If Joni Mitchell and Billy Joel had a baby, and Ani Defranco was the babysitter, the kid would turn out like this. Billy Joel's Piano, Ani's Lyrics, and Joni's Voice to kill."

The energy, passion, and expansive artistic talent Seth brings to his live performance leaves fans and listeners alike talking for day's after his shows. As Tower Records put it, "His lyrics don't just tell stories; they paint a masterpiece of pictures. The pictures are fresh, vibrant, and thoughtful."

In the summer of 2003 and 2004, Seth was a teacher of music at Camp Kee-wanee during the day, while performing in coffee houses at night. A master songsmith, composer, pianist, this 16 year old has taken many of his musical influences from such artists as Martin Sexton, Joni Mitchell, and Jamie Cullum.

Two years ago, Seth was a top ten competitor in the VALLEY IDOL competition held by Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton (P.A.C.E). The following year he won the competition. Seth has been playing at renown venues' such as MASS MoCA, Energy Park, P.A.C.E, Ballard's Night Club, and The Iron Horse Music Hall, just to name a few.

Seth has been selling out venues within Western Mass, including his SOLD OUT show at the Iron Horse Music Hall (first time in the venue). Seth's album has been a hit among listeners since its release in late August of 2004. "The CD showcases his energy and creativity, and addresses the social, political, and economic problems within the world today," says The Recorder.

His original compositions are ones that engage not only your ears, but also your mind. His voice is one that cannot be matched, a master of dynamics. He silences the room with his blustering baritone, then teases it with his fluttering falsetto. He takes his audience to a place that is unknown without Seth's intoxicating groove. Seth realizes that it is necessary to look at all aspects of success. His favorite quote, "It is nice to be important, but it is important to be nice."

THIS IS THE KID!!!!!!!!!! PRODIGY
author: Mark Christian-Peeler
I have been hearing talk about this kid for months. I have seen his name everywhere and have heard wonders about his CD and live performances. He reminds me of a young Jeff Buckley except he writes better and is more entertaining. Word on the street is that he's going to be coming out with a new CD this summer. I'm in much antisipation.
