SEVEN 13 began it's formation in the summer of 1997, hailing from the historical cities of Massachusetts. Amanda Adams eagerly sought an ideal outlet for the numerous compositions she was compiling throughout her life.
With the addition of Lead Vocalist Court Linehan, Bassist Brian Verrochi, Lead Guitarist Michael Burke, Percussionist Greg Oganini, and Event Coordinator Kerri McLaren, the music of SEVEN 13 has developed into a solid determining force. The band now looks forward to embarking upon their international journey.
Since SEVEN 13's beginning in 1997, the band has toured throughout several cities of the country and their music has been featured on several compilation CD's, books, and programs. All of the band members attribute their success to the quality of music that they perform.

It's like a door was opened to a whole new level of excellence.

I was happy to have the opportunity to review their new CD release "Devour". And was simply blown away after hearing it! The previous release of Seven 13 was nothing short of excellent, but with this new release, it's like a door was open to a whole new level of excellence. Devour is by far the best release, yet.
There is so much passion pouring from this CD, it is almost overwhelming. The vocals are profoundly passionate, and the instrumentation is over the top. On "Devour" Seven 13 has added a ton of awesome hooks, and this CD is a little harder than the previous release. I have to say that this is definitely a side of Seven 13 I hope to hear more of. If "Devour" is an indication of the direction the band is going. I have a feeling they are going to "skyrocket". Devour, is one of the most impressive new releases I have heard all year.
When it comes to Seven 13, it goes without saying, anything they release will be excellent. But "Devour" goes way beyond what Seven 13 fans expected.
"Devour" is backed by a superb rhythm section on every song. The sounds of Amanda Adams' keys, (that fans have grown to love so much) adds an awesome edge to the music.

If the music is this dynamic, one can only imagine the live show.

The 5 track EP of Devour is an excellent follow-up for Seven 13, the title track itself being the highlight followed closely by No Apology (2) and the emotion of Abuse Me (3). What’s with the modem sounds in Closer To The Edge (4)? The music is artsy without sounding fartsy, strong dependable beats, fast paced melodic instrumentals and powerful vocals make it a fun listen that’s hard but not dominating. Piano, electric guitars and drums mix to make an excellent example of modern Progressive Rock/Metal that you just can’t passively listen to. If the music is this dynamic one can only imagine the live show.
