**UPDATE** The "Better Looking" EP, produced by the Psychedelic Furs' John Ashton, is now available! *****************
"Secrets About the Stars:" lush, dreamy, radio-ready tunes featuring layers of vintage synths and shimmering guitars, poppy bass and drums, and literate, tongue in cheek vocals.
SEVEN COLOR SKY:
Seven Color Sky is a Pittsburgh-based indie band on the rise. A "new-new-wave" band quickly gaining international recognition for their catchy melodies and moody energy. Their modern rock twist on classic new wave has even inspired John Ashton, legendary guitarist with 80's icons the Psychedelic Furs ("Pretty In Pink," "Heartbreak Beat") to produce the band's next release.
Seven Color Sky formed in the Summer of 2002, a collaboration between vocalist / guitarist Scott Bedillion, bassist Marc Turina, and synth magician Terry Divelbliss. The results were immediately impressive, and over their two-plus years of existence the band's sound has become bigger and more distinct. It's not difficult to trace the influences for the sound: from the Smiths, to the Cure, to the Psychedelic Furs, SCS takes these influences and melds them into a style all their own. In all, Seven Color Sky has a sound like no other band today. A warm, dreamy sound full of 80's romanticism and modern energy. It's new-new-wave: dream pop with an edge!

Potent musical mix beyond retro
author: M. L. Downey“Secrets about the Stars” juxtaposes the lyrical idealism and narcissism of youth into an astonishingly-potent musical mix that rings authentic. Tunes like “Something So Good” and “Drama” sound like classic hits you can’t believe you’ve forgotten. Scott Bedellion’s achingly-honest vocals function as another instrument with his guitar and the warm synthesizers of Terry Divelbliss. Seven Color Sky may easily echo its retro influences, but it’s charting its own course with this album.
Absolutely LOVE this album - listen to it all the time!
author: Tracey HowesLove everything about this album - the lyrics ,the singers voice and the guitars and keyboards - love it. The more you hear it the better it gets - it's now one of my favourite albums- slightly reminiscent of 80's new wave ,the Cure,Morrisey but the overall sound is Seven Color Sky!

Good Stuff
author: Hugo CarducciI have always been a big fan of new wave music. This music is a refreshing change of pace from the mainstream, and even better, they are a local band. I like just about every song on this CD. Keep it up Seven Color Sky. Looking forward to your next release! Hugo Carducci Pittsburgh PA
GREAT!
author: stephanieThis is a very very very very very good CD! Very warm, very pretty. This is what the Pretty In Pink soundtrack would have probably sounded like if the movie was made NOW....
This is good.
author: john simmonsI picked this up at one of their shows in Pittsburgh. Good live band, very good album. The new wave comparison is valid, though they rock more than any of the old new wave bands.
Wow! Thank goodness...dream pop is back!
author: Steven BrundleIn high school I was obsessed with bands like the Smiths, and Joy Division, and the Cure. Those dreamy, warm songs about shyness went away with the 90's in favor of angry, generic pseudo-metal. Well, if there's rip in space-time, that could explain Seven Color Sky. They take that 80's alt-pop / new wave sound that I LOVE and give it kinda' a modern rock tweak. This CD is absolutely beautiful! I haven't been this inspired since "Wish!"
