An uncommon success for a debut album.

Seven Kingdoms is the kind of band that if you hear their music, you know it's them. And you know it's them by their talented musicianship, superb sense of songwriting, and creativity. You don't have to take a moment to guess "which band is it?" like on most bands nowadays that use the same formulas and styles repeatedly and copy off each other.
It's nice to hear a more baritone-esque voice in metal as Bryan Edwards uses. There's also use of death growls that are actually intelligible (XD). The musicianship is splendid and what is played is real metal music that also has an affinity for creative liberties. I personally can hear influences such as Iced Earth and also of more extreme metal bands as well.
My personal favorites are Eyes of Summer, We Do Not Sow, Blackwater Rush, The Bloody Meadow, The Long Night, Watchers of the Wall, and Winter Comes. The whole album, however, is very enjoyable and every song truly does stand on its own. An uncommon success for a debut album! By all means, give them a listen, metal lovers won't be disappointed with Seven Kingdoms.
