The Sevens are a 5 piece band that plays Irish and American traditional music with controlled abandon. The driving rythym section of guitarist Flynn Cohen, Stuart Kenney on bass and Mark Helenberg’s percussion support the fiddling of Sarah Blair and the flute or 5-string banjo of Mark Roberts. The Sevens have provided high energy tunes for dancers and audiences from Anchorage AK to Tallahasee FL. Their comfortable stage presence and Flynns accomplished singing make for a great evening. The first CD “ Celtic Groove Brand” garnered much positive attention including an interview on NPR’s All Things Considered.
