This band loves a good milkshake. After a great practice up on the third floor in an old building in downtown Winnipeg, or after busting out a live show, there is not much more talked about between the six handsome band members of Seventh Sin than finding a grade-A quality shake. Although the idea of sipping on shakes seems pretty PG-13, this is not to say the Sin Boys don't play hard after they work hard. They stay out late, stay hungry, and stay out playing blackjack to shoot the breeze with the pretty lady dealing the cards.
The guys have combined their multi-flavoured influences to generate what has been described as a 70's rock/metal vibe, unearthing elements from well-aged rock powerhouses that once dominated arenas from coast to coast and beyond. They represent six pieces of coal, crushed with immense drive and dedication to finding that last bit of pressure needed to render the diamonds. They put in what they want to receive, and they do it with class and the showmanship savvy of their idols from yesteryear.
They are constantly and innocently pretending to fire each other (in mock frustration) and then re-hiring each other (in mock reconciliation) all the while creating new songs to play for a quickly growing fan base. While they have only a few years together as Seventh Sin, they get along like the two old guys in the opera balcony from the Muppets, taking time to poke fun at life, and themselves, rather than taking it too seriously.
They savour their experiences in previous bands; the world of playing live shows, recording, and all the gold and grit that comes with it. Even though they enjoy testing each other's boundaries with constant ribbing, they can also find a meticulous and concentrated momentum when structuring and producing a song that not only has a solid groove, but well-sculpted meaning.
As the band approaches bigger and better gigs, they only strengthen their sails, tighten up the tunes, and face forward. They know that they can't have big things if they don't dream big things first. Milkshakes taste good for the boys of Seventh Sin, but the sounds, the lights, and the lightning-rod connection with the fans powered up during the show make the milkshakes taste even better.
