Album Notes

Jazz flutist, Steve Flowers, has just release his first CD titled, "Playtime.' Steve, a native Chicagoan, has performed as a flutist in the classical and jazz fields for over twenty five years.

Playing the flute, piccolo and G flute shows Steves' intense training and education which is evident when listening to his CD "Playtime." Steve has a Masters degree in flute performance and is currently being considered for a recording contract.

Steve has performed throughout the Midwest as the opening act for many international stars: Alex Bugnon, Bobby "Blue" bland, Koko Taylor, After 7, Take 6, Regina Bell, B.B. king, comedienne Bernie mack, Vicki Winans and the late Phyllis Hyman.

Steves's unique ability to dazzle audiences with such precise flute execution makes this a CD to be added to any jazz lovers' collection.

It’s evident that Jazz flutist Steve Flowers has no intention on being lost in the shadows of jazz musicians in the Windy City. After all Steve has “dazzled audiences by performing with the talents of international contemporaries like Alex Bugnon, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Koko Taylor, After 7, Take 6, Regina Bell, B. B. King, Bernie Mack, Vicki Winans and the late Phyllis Hyman”. With a Masters degree in Flute performances, we now understand why Mr. Flower is in high demand in the Mid-West and the Windy City.
