This worship compilation from Sovereign Grace Music (released under our former music label PDI Music) represents 12 of the most beloved songs from the nearly 300 praise & worship songs published by Sovereign Grace since the mid-1980s. Since then, the name has changed to Sovereign Grace Music, but the purpose remains the same: We are committed to publishing and producing biblically rich, cross-centered, passionate songs for worshipping God.

I Stand in Awe is the first in what Sovereign Grace Music hopes will become a new product line of fresh presentations of favorite worship songs.

Project producer Steve Cook worked with song producers Otto Price, and Dwayne Larring and Jason Halbert (formerly of SONICFLOOd) on a number of the songs, including the title track, "I Stand in Awe," by Mark Altrogge. This recording also features the second verse for "I Stand in Awe," which Mark wrote several years later. Most recently, the original one-verse version of "I Stand in Awe" was included on Integrity Music's Songs 4 Worship: Be Glorified release.

This compilation includes "How High and How Wide" (previously recorded for Integrity's Chosen Treasure project with Sovereign Grace worship leader Bob Kauflin), "In the Presence" (recently included on Integrity's Songs 4 Worship: Holy Ground release), "O Faithful God" (from Word Music's Passion for His Presence live Sovereign Grace recording), "O Most High" (last recorded by Kim Hill for the live Renewing the Heart conference recording, For Such a Time as This), "The Highest Glory" (the title track on GLAD's A Capella Worship: The Highest Glory project), and other songs from Sovereign Grace's own Come & Worship series.
