Rahmanism goes Urban
author: Nibar samal Yanima
I have to admit Shabir sounds almost identical to Oscar winning musician A.R Rahman. But it can be a good thing. Imagine Rahman singing with a sexier & raspier voice? Rahmaniacs, excited? Yes that's how he sounds actually. It is however important to note that this music producer possesses a good degree of originality & carves his craft by himself taking on songwriting, music arrangement, singing & rap spits, he calls it urban poetry. Double thumbs up for his craftsmanship for intelligently fusing thought provoking lyrics with attractive sounds & arrangement. Only thing is its 60% Tamil and the rest in English. There is also a Bangra track featuring Punjabi lyrics and singing. Artistically entertaining, entertainingly artistic.

Best of the best
author: Ray Amar
I have got the album & I think its the best original work from Singapore so far. I compare Shabir to the likes of Reshmonu regionally & A.R Rahman Internationally. Sometimes songs do sound close to Jay Sean or Akon. Whatever it may be, he has created a cultural fusion & sonic revolution with TraffiQ. Kudos to Shabir & his team!
