Curiousity got me when I read the new CDBABY release on Shadawmon's island east west world music, so before I ordered it, I listened and read more on their paradisemoon.com web site. I found several really unique groups from this new indie label called Islandelights. 'Cousins Steel & Cortez', like 'Chile Charles', 'Robert Greenidge', and 'Najashi', are all the real thing from the Caribbean islands and jam some very hip soca, reggae hip hop, and tropical steel grooves. I would sum it up as a most authentic island music experience, and although Shadawmon leans more to the mellow eclectic vibe, they all got it goin in their own space! I recommend you double check em out for yourself!

This CD represents a special kind of contemporary fusion of World Beat, Reggae and American R&B that delivers a pleasing, new wrinkle to the international pop music scene. Once again, an INDIE music production outshines the offerings of the so-called 'major' record labels.

I highly recommend this CD to people that love good guitar music blended with excellent background sounds. I feel comfortable listening to this artist and highly recommend him for what he presents to me from his heart through his music. It's real and I feel it.
