Shade's Biography

Born in Kingston Jamaica, statuesque, flamboyant and strikingly beautiful Simone Henry (SHADE) broke from family tradition when she decided to pursue her life long dreams as a Model, Singer & Actress. Simone (Shade) started modeling in 1994 with the well known Miguel Models & moved on to modeling with Pulse International Model Agency. Shade became a well known face appearing in Local & international Fashion Shows, Talent shows, Local news papers & magazines such as The Sky Writing Magazine.


Shade is now modeling and recording her album that is scheduled to be released June 10th - 06 with songs like Saaf and Crazy that is turning up the heat in South Florida, and the Caribbean. Performing at various fashion shows like the VP's annual Memorial Day Reggae fest, shows in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and in Jamaica and at the annual Fashion Week events in Miami. Shade's single called Saaf has been released and is available in store through out Jamaica and Miami.

Shade's music is very energetic and "catchy". This diva is not new to the game though, Shade has been in the biz for at least 11 years, working hard throughout her career to developing her image, personality and developing her talents.

Shade has been around the block and she think there is still a lot more for her to achieve. In 2000 Shade to life her first song Big Ninja Bike, was recorded at Tuff Gong Studio and produced by Bunny Lee.

2001-2003 'SIMONE HENRY Digita, the blue-haired beauty who plays a girl from the future that bring new technology via Cable and Wireless Mobile became a household name & icon . Shade stormed the Island of Jamaica doing radio commercials, television commercials and live appearances advertising for the telecommunication mogul Cable and Wireless.

Shade performed at numerous Jamaica Carnivals, at the weekly blow-out fetes at Marketplace, Constant Spring Road, Kingston Road Parade Floats, Cinema 2, Island wide & Internationally. Then known as Digita representing Cable & Wireless, Shade again wow the audience at the Miss Jamaica Fashion Model pageant 2001 where she was placed in the top three position that landed her modeling assignment all over the United State, Milan & the Caribbean.

Shade captivated the minds & heart of her fans and showed her appreciation at the well know Peer Awards 2000 & 2001 where she brought home 11 awards for Cable and Wireless. Awards ranged from' Best Campaign of the Year, Best Radio Commercial of the year, Best Magazine Advertisement of the year, Best Television Commercial of the year. campaign/Production: Digital, Produced by Patrick Waldemar from Water Works's advertising agency used in: Radio, Print, Billboards, Outdoor, & TV mediums.
