Shades of Yesterday

Shades of Red don't really sound like anybody I can put my finger on, yet their songs bring up memories of so many classic rock/folk artists that "December Sunday" makes you feel as tho you are sitting around in your beanbag chair, lights turned off, black lights on, enjoying some classic 60's/70's radio.
"All in You" with it's flute lines reminds me of an old Marshall Tucker Band track, but with prettier voices...
"The Street" is colored with Shades of the Mamas and The Papas, with a weird instrumental break that brings up "Klatuu" in my mind..
"Just Leave" could have easily been on the radio next to Carol King, Carly Simon, or Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird"
If you are a fan of songwriting, played well by real musicians, this record will not let you down..

December Sunday

As a voice teacher it is difficult for me to listen to various rock and pop artists because it is truly painful to me - BUT - this band is totally painless. In fact, I find their music soothing and relaxing to my ears. Great orginial music, GREAT harmony, and natural talent!!! Makes me dance around the house. Thank you so much for giving a voice teacher a wonderful musical experience! I love Walking Away. Blessed Be!
