ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Award winning poet, modern rock/spoken word Diva, Shadow performs a blend of alternative and pop music, poetry and theatrics to draw the audience into a dynamic, interactive experience that speaks to living, loving and learning. Featured with such artists as world music great, Sally Nyola; The Golden Stars; Obie winner, Dal Orlander-Smith and percussionist, Michael Mills, Shadow has performed at such venues as The Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT and The world famous Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC. Influenced by artists such as Tina Turner, Alanis Morrisette, Sheryl Crow, Jill Scott and Poetry Slam Master, Ngoma, Shadow's first effort "No Middle Ground" showcases her vocal range and musical diversity by combining songs that are rousing, rhythmic and enticing with periodic breaks of poetry that soars, swoops and swings through the mental and emotional playgrounds of our spirits.
