Album Notes

Leaving the angst behind, Shadrach serves up a fresh batch of fun, mood enhancing tunes that will get you on your feet.

'Stepping On The Atmosphere' is the name of their new sophmore release with unique cover art: a picture of a gigantic 'spaceship foot' hovering over a country raod. The title of this CD means 'walking on air' or just having that joy, joy, joy and the title fits the music. With songs like 'My Rhymes Are Tight' (an acoustic funk tune with breakdancing, girls, and Easy Bake Ovens) and 'Wrasslin' Love Song' (a shankable-smackdown-serenade with trumpets and beautiful lyrics about inter-gender tag-team wrestling partnership), Shadrach's second indie CD is impressive.

Other noteable songs are'And The Crowd Goes Wild' (a story song about a rock band that dies and plays a big concert in heaven), 'I'm The One' (kind of Smash Mouthy), ' Just In Time To Be Too Late' (nice, with cello), 'Style' (a trumpet-filled story song about a homeless woman panhandling in front of fancy pet store with a cardboard sign that says 'human'), and 'It's Only Rain' (starts off with the line,"He was never good for her mascara").

Shadrach is Lou LaCotera (bass and vocals) and Thor Wismar (lead vocals, guitar and trumpet) with Brian Vargas (lead guitar and vocals) 'Stepping On The Atmosphere' was produced by Mike Roe (The 77's), Masaki Lui (The W's, 5 Iron Frenzy, Dime Store Prophets), and Mark G. Townsend (Dc Talk).

the first track "i'm the one" is so catchy that i sing it when i'm not listening to the cd. the same goes for "my rhymes are tight" which i find repeating in my head all day long. these are so entertaining that i can't believe they aren't on the radio. thanks for the fun music.

We were listening to idolunderground.com and the song 'Style' came up...we slapped a '5' on it right away. One of the best things on the whole site. That one song alone is worth the price of the album! Great job, guys.
