Album Notes

Paycheque Blues is the second release by Canadian Blues Rockers The Shaftmen. The band's music is full on blues rock in the mode of Rory Gallagher and Jeff Healey. The original tracks offer up catchy riffs and big hooks. The band hails from Shania Twain's hometown of Timmins Ontario Canada. This Cd (their first was Mining The Blues) was produced by Juno (Your Grammy) winner and legendary blues icon Jack De Keyzer De Keyzer loved the band's material and decided to add his killer guitar work to the album. John Emms wrote all of the tracks and adds his distinctive lead vocals and guitar work, while Gilbert Boissonneault adds fretless bass, and Mike Charette's big drum sound rises to the front of the mix. Former member John Savard added guitar riffs. Piano player Joe Di Marco recently joined The Shaftmen.
