No Tag.No Tail Light
author: Antonio Rodríguez CarcañoImpresive!
I love this each time I play it.
author: Martha CichelliThis album has wonderful acoustic guitar blues.
A Terrific Album
author: CHINASKIThis is a terrific album. "Worried Messenger" is a bright tune with FJ Ventre's throbbing bass line. "Getaway Car" has a bouncy guitar part with Shain's rolling melody. "Philly Girl" is a sweet folk boogie. Shain's slide guitar rattles & rolls on "Get What You Deserve." My favorite track is the boogie woogie "Ka-Ching Ka-Ching" about a money hungry girlfriend where Dave Mattacks goes crazy with cash register percussion. He's obviously having a lot of fun & has the ability to let us in on it. Explore & enjoy!

Jon Shain presents an album that features a large spectrum of the blues- from goofy, shuffley little tunes to classic delta ache with slide, to light-hearted, charming little stories. Perhaps what makes "No Tag, No Tail LIght" so noteworthy is Jon's presence on every track. No matter how casual and witty he may get, there's always a potency of delivery and ease of voice. This one checks in as a perfect, cooling summertime album.
A breezy open-air train ride through American music
author: Rob Turner, Relix magazineNo Tag, No Tail Light: Jon Shain crosses rich musical terrain in this, his third and finest solo release. Shain takes us on a breezy, open-air train ride through the history of American music, moving seamlessley through folk, swing, ragtime, piedmont and country blues. His approach is equal parts humorous, love struck and world-weary, all with a homespun flair.
