Album Notes

SHAKA MAN, born in Cambridge, St. James Jamaica is a musician of musicians. His backround is vast and his talent immense. During his career he has backed several well known reggae and ska artists including: DENNIS BROWN, BIG YOUTH, THE MELODIANS, KEN BOOTHE, FRANKIE PAUL, SUPA CAT, SUGAR MINOT, DADDY FREDDY, JOHN HOLT, ROLAND ALPHONSO of the SKATALITES and many, many more.
Combining talents with that of Rita Marley's father, PAPA ROY, SHAKA MAN produced his first song titled, "Back to Africa". Ten years later he moved to Los Angeles and started his own band known as the Rastafarians. This extraordinary band launched his career and went on to become one of the most popular reggae bands in the United States.
