ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
As Hip-Hop\'s harshest critics continue to berate the current state of the genre, ATL\'s own $hamrock offers his debut EP to silence the dissension. Live From Decatur, presented by G.E. Entertainment & The Aspen Agency, is a 5 track glimpse into the mind of one of the south\'s most promising young talents. The title is a nod to $ham\'s city of inception, the place where he developed both his skills and his hustle demeanor. To hear the 25-year-old in his own words, there is no other place to be.

\"Basically, in Decatur is where it goes down. Its all the way live in that sense- the music, the people, the grind. But also this EP is like you\'re at a $hamrock concert. You might go see an act performing live at the Fox Theatre, but I\'m giving you $hamrock live from the Dec!\"

And what a show it is. \"It\'s A Wrap\" opens the set on a smooth yet boisterous note as $ham puts out a punchline-filled heads-up to the rap game. \"Entourage\" is an earth-shaking, block-quaking posse cut highlighted by a stellar guest spot from The Cancer of the supergroup Eva Trill. \"Slow Mode\" embodies a sound only Atlanta can deliver as Don P, frontman of the platinum-selling Trillville, joins the certified club smash. \"Break Me Down\" personifies the goal of $hamrock\'s movement: to create music with a message that can move units! With its catchy hook and production delivered courtesy of Orlando\'s Jon Young, $ham is able to address both naysayers and supporters alike in an ode to remaining genuine. \"Funds Up\" gives listeners an ominous parting shot. Over dark piano keys and sparse percussion, $ham vows to make no exceptions when paper-chasin\'.

\"I had to get some music out there for my die-hard fans, but also my new fans as \"Entourage\" is picked up on more stations across the US. This EP is that sample to get em hooked on my product. From here on out, it\'s nothing but heat.\"
